Save Us from Complete Disconnect

This is a very humbling experience for me., but one I feel I need to take as a last resort to keeping my household and family afloat during this Christmas season.  

Several months ago I was hit hard with a very large garnishment.   This will be ongoing for 3 more paychecks.  I've been able to keep afloat with my rent as it goes to my landlord directly each payday.  However, what is left after rent, taxes and medical insurance for myself and my son, is minimal.  I have been keeping it together on $142.00 every 2 weeks for the past 3 months..  Divide that over utilities, electric, groceries and pet food for 2 cats and 1 dog and the math doesn't add up.  I am blessed to live in a city that has amazing Food Banks, which has been a saving grace for us.  I pay what I can towards utilities and electric, but it's just not enough.  I've done my part on getting assistance in all areas.  I have been fortunate enough to be able to make some minimal income selling things we no longer have use for and that helps us get by with toiletries and cleaning supplies.  

I work from home so my livelihood is dependant on having power.  Electric and Utilities are both on disconnect order.  I have no heat as I have not been able to pay the deposit.  I've been heating my house by running my oven and a small space heater my neighbor is letting me use.  

I have a wonderful son who is understanding of our situation.  He knows our Christmas will be very limited.  As a parent, that is hard to swallow.  

This is situation has taken it's toll on my health as the stress mounts.  At the same time I have given it up to God.
