Despite a number of previous surgeries, Harun's condition has always resurfaced and he is now raising funds to get proper medical treatment to enable him get to use his hands properly once more.

Harun Gatari Njeri has not known what it is like to use his hands to fend for himself for the last 15years. It all started with a small pimple on his right hand and more than ten surgeries later, he was forced to drop out of school. For fear of being a burden to his mother, he ended in the streets of Nairobi begging. Tough was life for him until one good Samaritan who sells bone soup started housing him. His hands, he says are too heavy for him, and the pain he feels on a daily is unmatched.
