For those who don’t know me, I’d love to introduce myself in this difficult time of need. My name is Tatiana, and I am extremely humbled in creating this fundraiser to keep my business afloat and my horses alive. I recently moved to South Carolina to fulfill a dream with a partner where people could connect and heal with horses. I uprooted my entire life, having lived in Miami for 35 years and building a pet sitting business, Your Paws R My Paws Pet Sitting Retreat, from the ground up, which was my entire life, love, and passion. I closed my successful business after 15 years to form a partnership with a best friend who shared the same vision of bringing healing, connection, therapy, and love through horses to children, adults, and the community. Unfortunately, after losing a horse tragically and unexpectedly, everything took a turn for the worst. My partner was not able to recover from the loss and has left the partnership, horses, and myself, leaving the responsibility of everything financially, physically, mentally, and spiritually in my hands. I am completely lost and trying to pick up all the pieces blindly as the equine world is not as familiar to me as the canine world is. I am struggling financially in every aspect imaginable, working 3 jobs, including pet sitting, to stay afloat. The truth is I am not making enough income to support myself AND the horses to move the business forward. I WILL NOT GIVE UP ON MY HORSES as I made a promise to them when I adopted them, and I refuse to go back on my word. I would rather not eat or have shelter so they can. I have tried getting approved for personal loans, but due to economic struggles in the pet sitting business last year, where I was forced to take out 2 loans to remain open, I have too much debt accumulated even though I have paid off more than 50%, and one of the loans will be paid off in September of this year. I just need to make ends meet until September, which is only 4.5 months away. Once I pay off that loan, I can survive week to week.

This is not what I envisioned moving here, and I am beyond scared to lose everything, including my home. I have put well over 50K into this business dream & my horses since last summer. I have exhausted all savings and am down to my last penny. I have never been through this, creating this fund is beyond humbling as I am not the type of person to ask for help. In asking for this help, I realize I have hit my limit of resources and in a position to do anything to save my horses and my business dream.

My equine business is home to four wonderful horses who are not just animals, but family and partners in providing healing and support to our community. Despite these challenges, I am determined to keep my business going and continue caring for my horses, who mean so much to me and to those we serve.

The funds raised will go directly toward the essential needs of my horses, including medical care, feeding, farrier, and shelter facility. Every dollar will help ensure that they remain healthy and happy, and that my business can keep its doors open to those who benefit from the healing power of horses. Your support will make a real difference, not just for me and my horses, but for everyone in our community who finds comfort and strength through our programs.
