I want to help create a more ambitious Australia

I am reaching out to my extended community to help raise funds to go to S P A C E.
No, I'm not leaving the planet just yet.
I'm talking about an incredible event in May with the big, bold vision of "inspiring a more ambitious Australia".
So what does this mean?
I have been invited to be one of 300 hand-picked individuals to attend this event with the aim of building a cross-section of people who really care about the future of our country and drive as much positive contribution to Australia as possible.
I'm so incredibly honoured to have the opportunity to be a part of collaborations that use enterprise to address huge issues faced by us all.
The idea is to "break down the echo chambers in industry and create a dialogue about future-proofing Australia".

Over my career, I have been able to facilitate change in ways that I'm incredibly proud of. It's the way my brain works! I love trying to solve big problems.
Here are some examples.
- I ensured that Thai orphans in a Christian mission were given access to HIV/AIDS medication by involving a human rights lawyer. Many children died while I was at the orphanage, and none died after this campaign.
- I raised approx. $750,000 and set up a web resource for Indigenous child health that is still funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health more than 10 years later.
- I raised approx. $250,000 for Indigenous child health research in one night at an Indigenous art auction - which saw artists from 12 remote communities each be paid around $10,000 directly for their work.
Now that Harry is a bit bigger, I'm ready to make more positive change in the world on top of the work I already do.
As well as the contribution I can make, this event is the most wonderful opportunity to network with amazing people. This would enable me to develop relationships to help me fulfil the vision of teaching more and more people about managing stress, through my fledgeling company Lilo Wellness - something I have virtually not been able to do while parenting solo.
It's a 3-day conference and the target amount covers the cost of it, all food and accommodation. I'll pay for my airfare - unless of course, I don't have to. ;)
And yes I have already organised childcare! (Yay for support crew).
The organisers are also looking at ways to support me to get there, so I'll keep you posted on how that goes.
Words can't fully express how blessed I feel to have been invited, and how grateful I will be for your contribution, however large or small.
