Good day my name is Cam Wright and on Aug 12 2025 I unfortunately had a stroke while I was working in the Arctic.At work I was changing trailers on a tractor trailer and went underneath to drop the legs as I went under the truck I became extremely dizzy and lost focus my Buddy managed to get me out from under the truck I was medivac by plane to Iqaluit and was stabilized overnight.In the am I was then flown by medivac to Ottawa where I’m currently in Ottawa civic hospital in the neurology unit.I unfortunately have paralyzed my left side and will need a lot of rehabilitation.I’m asking which is a very difficult thing for me to do for help I’m alone here in Ottawa and with the hope of getting released so I can return home to Alberta.I will have to adapt my home to give me the ability to get around and do what I need to live an independent life. My dog Annie is being cared for but she misses her dad as I miss her and believe that she will give me the enthusiasm to get back to my new normal.I lost my benefits in February and my union benefits have not kicked in so bills are starting to pile up along with medivac flights and such.I hope to get back my mobility but my days of hitting the gym and being really active are unfortunately coming to a Slow crawl I am grateful for any help that you may be able to give and will do my damndest to get back my strength and dignity

as most of my Canadian friends know Air Canada is on strike so airfares are absolutely insane I Thankyou from the bottom of my heart in advance for any help
