I Love My Sister More Than My Hair.

Donation protected
My name is Amber and Laura is my sister. She is my best friend. We have had many adventures growing up and there was very little we did not do together. This past July, my sister... my best friend was diagnosed with Stage 2 Triple Negative Breast Cancer. She has two beautiful girls and works part-time as a mammography technician... I know, go figure. She has a long road ahead of her on the way towards full remission. She will work as much as possible, but who knows how much that will be. Bryan, her boyfriend, is working full-time, but multiple surgeries, chemo and radiation adds up financially. This is not going to be an easy journey. This is also one adventure I cannot fully tag along on. It is hard not being able to actually DO anything. All we can do is support her any way we can.
I am starting this page to help reduce the financial stress in her life already coming from this. I don't want her to just keep worrying about the medical bills that will follow. She worries too much about how she is going to afford those payments, Sophie's schooling, Ellie's prescriptions and just feeding her family. All I want her to do is worry about herself and to get better. Any amount anyone can contribute will help.

October is breast cancer awareness month and my mother and I dyed our hair pink to show our support and spread awareness that all the others out there going through similar struggles are not alone. If anyone else also wishes to show their pink pride through this October month, please post pictures along with the hashtag #thinkpinkforlaurare
or
#ilovemysistermorethanmyhair.
We cannot always be physically with the people we care for, but this way she will be able to see all of you lovely people supporting her and thinking of her even when not near.
You don't have to dye your hair, but maybe wear that pretty pink lipstick, nail polish or shirt.

If we can double this goal by the end of the month, I will let Laura shave off my pink hair. I may love having my long hair, but I love her more.
Thank you.

If any of you wish to follow her progress through her eyes, she has a blog you may follow. Laura's Journey
