Hi, my name is Desiree Cotton. I am a newly Deaf business owner of Starfectly Blended Signs, a company dedicated to teaching American Sign Language to families and communities.

Recently, my car was repossessed. This car means more than transportation…it was my shelter while I was homeless for six months, my way to work for UberEats and Amazon Fresh, and how I travel to teach sign language through my small business.

Without my car, everything is on hold. I can’t work, reach clients, or keep moving forward like I have been.

Over the past few months, I’ve made huge progress:

• Started a new part-time job

• Found a safe place to live

• Been rebuilding my life from the ground up

Now, I need help to get my car back and keep my progress going.
