My name is Karim Saied, a husband and a father to two wonderful boys: Younes who is 6 years old and Youssef who is 4 years old. 

We moved to the United States 5 years ago and we have been living in the Boston area since then. Since I am an immigrant who has faced many challenges to adapt to my new life here in the US and provide a smooth transition for  my family, I became very passionate about helping others who are facing similar challenges. I want to make their life easier and their transition smoother than mine. Hence, I have been serving immigrants and assisting them in integrating into the community for the past 4 years through my work as a Community Program Manager at the Islamic Society of Boston and later through my post as the Commissioner for Immigrant Rights at the City of Cambridge since 2018. 
In these two capacities I had big dreams yet faced by many challenges in realizing them on the ground. That's why I am taking my efforts to the next level by getting formal education and training. 

Recently, I have been accepted to the very competitive and prestigious Master's Program at Brandeis University. I am pursuing a dual masters degree; an MBA in Social Impact and Master in Public Policy. Fortunately, I am awarded a merit-based scholarship covering 65% of my tuition. However, given my commitment to roles in the non-for-profit sector, the cost of living in the Boston area, and the staggering total cost of the program, I find myself unable to cover the remainder of the program costs which is $30,000 yearly.
