I have a rare Lymphoma Cancer

Donation protected
I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma of the Dura lining of my Brain. On February 5th, 2018 I had a huge Tumor removed from my head. After the biopsy we found out it was cancer. After further testing (including a PET Scan) We know I have it in numerous other places in my body.  I start Chemo tomorrow and I will be on a very aggressive Chemo regimen due to this cancer being so aggressive. They are now also going to do an extra intense chemo regimen, on top of the one I start tomorrow, which I will need to be hospitalized for 5-6 days every month or so.  A couple weeks ago, we also found out we were pregnant (Yes, at 47years old) I had a miscarriage just shortly after finding out.

The reason this is so rare: Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma has only been found in the dura lining of the Brain (dura lining is the thin layer that surrounds the brain) in less than 1% of any cases ever. Also my age is a rarity since this is generally in much older adults.

I have a very hard time asking for help, this is not easy for me to deal with at all, but I have to put my pride aside at this point and ask for help.

Since the tumor was removed (and even before) due to numerous hospital and doctor visits due to illness and pain, I have not been able work.  My husband has also had to miss many hours/days of work to take me to appts and during hospitalizations.

I am asking for any help whatsoever and also many prayers as I start chemo tomorrow. We have fallen behind on all of our bills, my husbands check this last week wasnt even enough to pay the other half of our rent, that we still owe for March. (His paycheck for 2 weeks was $170.00)

We live in Watertown, WI, my husband works in Madison, WI, and all my treatments are in Oconomowoc, WI and/or Pewaukee, WI, so gas has been, and is, a major problem for us. We have had to choose gas over food at this point. We are not reaching out just because we want money, we are reaching out for help! I am applying for SSDI,  the social worker at the cancer clinic told me I should, due to my cancer and the long road ahead of us.

I just received a $70,000 bill from the Brain surgery I had in February when I was not insured. I havent even seen the rest of the bills I know I still have coming from February. Since March 1; however, I have insurance, but with copays and over the counter medications as well we still need help. My husband is working every possible moment he is able to make up for time lost when he has to be with me but there are only so many hours in the day.  On top of losing hours he has 50% of all his income taken out for Child Support, for children he had before our marriage. This is putting an even bigger strain on us when he has had to miss more days than he has been able to work.

The stress on us financially is definitely affecting my health as well.  I dont know how exactly this works but I have lots of documentation if anyone would like to have any more information prior to helping, I would completely understand. I am appreciative for anyone of you who are even reading this at this point. If you can send your love, prayers, thoughts that is just as much appreciated by us!!! Thank you so much!!
