I Am Possible Foundation

I Am Possible is a new foundation that wants to see a world where no task is
impossible for those with Limb Differences.

Limb Differences can be a result of amputation or a condition called Dysmelia.
This refers to a group of rare diseases involving congenital limb reduction differences,
occurring in around 6-8 of 10,000 births.

European families have reported low satisfaction when it comes to support both
during pregnancy and after birth with only 25% receiving any support information.

This lack of support impacts decision making in regards to both follow up care of
a child and pregnancy continuation with termination rates sitting between 20-50%
depending on the condition diagnosis.

We believe that we can close this gap in support through increasing visibility, creating
a community, information/resource sharing and events. As a result individuals with
limb differences will feel empowered to approach tasks/activities in new and
innovative ways.

We are excited to be tackling the South London Tough Mudder as our first fundraiser!

With your donations we have two main goals;

1) Support the Lloyd Family with the travel costs necessary to provide their son
Jordan with the prosthetic support that is not available on the Isle of Wight.

Watch the video below to learn more about their story.

2) To develop and provide support information at the point of diagnosis or
birth of a child with a limb difference.

Please help us support those with limb differences and their families and create
the support system that is desperately needed within the UK.
