Regardless if the path is straight or becomes crooked; perseverance and endurance will build the character and soul of every person who "believes". Please take a moment to support the family and friends of CuSheer Jones-Murphy (CJ) in recognition of her fundraising campaign. CJ is a forty-nine year old wife and mother of three amazing kids. For twenty-six years CuSheer has gallantly battled with Lupus. In addition, she was diagnosed with Interstitial Lung Disease. This is one of the ailments she acquired as a result of the complications with Lupus and other contributing medical factors.

Over the years CuSheer lungs have progressively gotten worse making it almost impossible to breathe. As a result, CuSheer is now 100% dependent on the use of oxygen. Currently, CuSheer has two pneumothoraxes (hole in the lungs) and has had pneumonia multiple times

within the past few years. Despite the ups and downs attributed to her health; she never allowed this to thwart her dreams and the desire to live a life of strength coupled with determination. To know CJ is to love her and it is our most humble request that we seek your help in supporting her next victory lap to overcome this battle.

After years of unwavering patience and waiting for a beacon of hope to arise; it is with much joy we share that CJ has officially made the donor recipient list to undergo a Double Lung Transplant. Your contribution will assist her and the family in fulfilling the transplant expenses (traveling, tolls, parking, lodging, medication, medical equipment, medical bills, etc.) and post-surgery treatment/recovery.

CuSheer travels frequently to Pennsylvania for her medical appointments and evaluations that are often requiring multiple and/or overnight visits. After the surgery CuSheer will be hospitalized for at least three weeks to assure the acceptance of the lungs without any complications. Afterwards, she will be required to travel to Philadelphia once a week for a few months. Then the appointments will be every other week and eventually within the year; she will be down to once a month for follow up visits. As you can see, the travel expenses alone will be very costly. Although most of the medical expenses are covered by insurance; the Murphy’s are required to pay a very extensive portion of medical expenses and copays for medication, every medical visit, and procedure.
