Delaney's Volunteer Nursing Trip

Hi everyone! As some of you may know, I recently graduated from Seattle University and received my nursing license this past spring.  Before beginning my permanent position in February, a fellow nursing student and I decided to use this time to travel to Central America and volunteer with a nonprofit organization, Floating Doctors.  My experience working with the local Panamanian people setting up healthcare clinics was life changing.  It was an amazing experience that exposed me to such a vastly different healthcare system with many challenges and little resources.  My time in Panama has truly inspired me to continue sharing my nursing knowledge and time in healthcare settings that are less fortunate than my own.    

I recently have applied and been accepted into another amazing volunteer organization, UBELONG,   ( http://ubelong.org/volunteer-abroad/quito-ecuador )  and will be stationed in Quito, Ecuador for three weeks this January.  I will be volunteering with the local doctors and nurses in a variety of clinical settings.   I am seeking assistance to help fund my volunteer trip to Ecuador, including program expenses and airfare to Quito.  My estimated cost for the trip is 3,000 and I would appreciate any donation to help make this volunteer trip possible.
