My Black Lab, MaxOrMike Needs Help

Donation protected

Any of you who know me will know that my sweet, super silly black lab is the most important thing in my life.

I got him when he was tiny (around 8 weeks old). He was the last of a litter and he was about to be put in the pound as his family were moving from ArlingtonWA to somewhere where they couldn't take him so I went and snagged him.

He's now almost 9 years old and has brough me an absolute joy I really never new existed until he came along. From the folk at the local supermarket to the hundreds of musicians that I've worked with to the random passer-by in the street, he always seems to bring out the sweet side of the people he touches with his goofy innocence.

On the night of November 28 he started shaking and became more and more lethargic, not wanting to touch his food and craning his neck in a very odd manner, accomanied by a strange lip smacking motion.

I took him to his vet the next morning, (luckily very close by), and after a brief check up they said he needed to go to the emergency vet asap as he could have Pancreaitis.

We got to the emergency place half an hour later and after bloodwork and urine tests it was determined that Pancreaitis was indeed the cause and they said they'd need to keep him in for at least one night on an I.V and a bunch of meds as he looked really bad and the condition  can be fatal.
Luckily, I'd just sold my guitar amp to pay for vehicle maintainance, so I had money.

The deposit on his stay was $1300. I convinced them to take $1100 as that's all I had in the world, so I'm now at the point where if he needs to stay another night or two, I don't know what I'm going to do. They won't continue to treat him without payment.

I applied there and then for the emergency credit option they had as way of making payments but I didn't meet the requirements. My girlfriend recently underwent a pretty big surgery so she hasn't been working for the last 4 months, with no return to work in sight as yet so money is increasingly hard to come by.

In short, we need financial help to pay for my boys med bills so he can get back to being the happy, silly doofus he usually is.

I'm so worried I've been in tears on and off all day, and can't bear the thought of him not being asleep at the end of the bed every night or licking my face in the morning.

Please help.
