On the 30th June 2015 my family's life changed forever, I was only discharged from the Royal mineral hospital the day before because I had a big flare up of rheumatoid arthritis my partner Stuart Vinter had been my career for about 8 months as I had been in a bad way for a few months and had been bed bound, we had booked our wedding for the 21st of July in Gretna Green, but on that fateful evening of the 30th of June 1 of the hottest day of the year, my partner had just got home from work and we was both in good spirits, knowing we was getting married in 3 weeks times we was all excited, my partner who works as a fabricator welder was really hot from work that day and went to jump in a 12ft easy set pool, Stuart has always been a joker, so when I spotted him star fish in the pool, I thought he was messing around so I said to my son Euan 17 who is autistic go and cool Stuart down with the hose pipe, the next thing I saw was my son pulling Stuart out the pool, and I looked at Stuart and he was blue, I done cpr I manage to bring him back, but he died on me again, I was screaming for help, I managed to get a faint pulse, then it was gone again, my neighbours came running over and performed cpr on Stuart till the emergency services and Wiltshire air ambulance got there, Stuart was rushed by helicopter to RUH bath, they then sent him on to Southmead hospital, after waiting for 3 1/2 hours of not knowing what was going on, a doctor came to see me and explained Stuart has a C6 his vertebrate was shattered, and the doctor then told me to prepare for the worse, that Stuart was in a very bad way and had been revived several times, my world came crashing down, how can I be a widow before we have even married, in the thought of losing him I couldn't handle, I sat by his bed so frightened and scared begging him to fight, then we got to the 24hrs mark then the 48 hrs, I knew he was going to make it, after the 1st week of being in intensive care and in a coma, Stuart came down with pneumonia we then had another fight on our hands, after Constant care and antibiotics the pneumonia was under Control, after 15 days in a coma they gave Stuart a Tracheitis because he couldn't breath without the aid of a ventilator, they then woke Stuart up, and seeing him awake was the miracle I had been praying for, Stuart was then told the extent of his injury, that he was paralysed from the chest down, and that he could move his arms and not his hands, Stuart was so strong, and instead of saying why me, he said things happen for a reason, then Stuart was struck with double pneumonia, the doctor told me to prepare for the worse again, I sent our so called wedding side praying he would pull through, and he did, he was such a fighter after 5 weeks in intensive care at Southmead hospital, Stuart was then transferred back to the RUH hospital intensive care in bath, then we had the next battle seeing Stuart coming of the ventilator, seeing the 1 you love being so strong before the accident to see him struggling to take every breath on his own, it's haunting and know one should ever have to see it, but we got there, and Stuart became a inspiration to staff and patience, after 9 weeks in intensive care, Stuart was then sent to the duke of Cornwall spinal unit Odstock hospital for  rehabilitation  stuart had only been at Odstock Salisbury for 2 weeks when he was then  diagnosed with malignant melanoma cancer stuart still remains in hospital as the cancer has set the  rehabilitation back wards,  we have been told we have to move because our house is not  wheelchair friendly, so it's more  money we have to try and find  on a good note me and Stuart got married at the hospital on the 7th of November and there was not a dry eye in the house next step is to try fund raising for Physio equipment and a wheel chair as Stuart needs emotion wheels because he can't use his hands, and the NHS don't fund Electric wheelchairs, Stuart's dream is to get back on his motorbikes 1 day, and I believe with his positiveness and his strength he will, I would just like to say to Stuart you are such a inspiration to me and many others at how far you have come, and that I love you.
