We are a group of local parents dedicated to sharing and circulating items in good condition within the community, providing savings for local families and reducing waste.
At a community picnic in 2014, a few of us decided to brings some of the clothes and gear to be given away to others that could use it and the HY-Swap was BORN! We have grown from those few bags exchanged to hosting two huge events, one in the Spring and one in the Fall. The HY-Swap events are free exchange of infant, children’s and maternity clothing, gear and toys-from our our local community, for our local community.
We take in donations of items from our local community for a about a month and then spend two weeks sorting and organizing all the donation before created a pop-boutique. And this is all FREE and done by volunteers. But we have expanded so quickly that we can't keep up without more help and that means we need to become non-profit organization to be sustainable.
Can you help us? Every dollar helps. We need to raise money to cover the costs to file the legal paperwork to become a non-profit and the remaining costs will help to cover our expenses each year (~$1,000 per event).
