Mario passed unexpectedly on Sunday, December 8. We are trying to raise money to send his body back to his native country of El Salvador, where his mom and brothers will be waiting for him to lay him to rest.
Mario was a beloved brother, son, friend and cousin. He was a hardworking young man and resident of East Boston who cared deeply for his community. Mario worked as a food service worker by day and cleaned offices by night to help support his family. He was also attending night school to obtain his GED. His loss will be deeply felt by his family and his community. Mario attended Revere High School and was a member of the JROTC at RHS. During his time at the JROTC, he was part of the "Snow Angels" program, volunteering to help the elderly, disabled and veteran residents of Revere with snow removal during the winter months. He loved his family and friends, and he will be dearly missed.

Mario era un querido hermano, hijo, amigo y primo. Era un joven trabajador y residente de East Boston que se preocupaba profundamente por su comunidad. Mario trabajaba como trabajador del servicio de alimentos durante el día y limpiaba oficinas por la noche para ayudar a mantener a su familia. También asistía a la escuela nocturna para obtener su GED. Su familia y su comunidad sentirán profundamente su pérdida. Mario asistió a Revere High School y fue miembro del JROTC en RHS. Durante su tiempo en el JROTC, formó parte del programa "Snow Angels", como voluntario para ayudar a los ancianos, discapacitados y veteranos residentes de Revere,para ayudar a remover la nieve durante los meses de invierno.
