My Volunteer Trip to Colombia

Hi there! I am beyond excited (seriously,  I'm doing a happy dance as I type this) to share I am going on a Journey to Colombia to build homes for families living in slum conditions. I will be working with WeJourney & TECHO  to raise a total of $5k, which will provide an entire home for a family in need, and allow me to go build it and see my impact first hand!

This home means so much to the families who will be receiving it. Currently, they live on dirt floors, with tarps for shelter, that allow in bad weather when it occurs, and can be eradicated by just one storm. They do not have doors, or locks which leaves them at risk to unwelcome house guests like pests and rodents, and even worse, criminals. This home gives them protection from the elements, as it is elevated off the dirt, and has a locking door, with a strong stable roof over their heads. It provides a safe, sanitary, living environment that allows their families to worry less about their safety and health, and focus on work, education and a brighter future.

Any support (for real, ANY support) you can give would make this dream a reality, and would mean so much to me! To give you an idea, $50 would get the ball rolling, and $100 would put me on track to achieve this in time for the August 11 deadline.
