In the fall of 2011, Marty was diagnosed with Stage IV Renal Cell Cancer. We were all devasted by the heartbreaking news, Marty was determined to fight and beat this. He was driven by the love and support of his family and friends, especially his wife Christina of twenty years and his two daughters Brittney and Gabrielle, who are his "best friends."
Marty was brave and courageous in his battle and never complained or showed any sign of weakness. He continued to enjoy his life and found great pleasure in being with his family and friends, especially the little ones. He also found a sense of comfort sitting on the deck with his dog Shadow.
Since he received the news four years ago, his journey was emotionally draining and consisted of numerous
treatments, surgeries, hospital admissions, doctor visits, testing and a daily routine of medications. Despite his physical and mental pain, he found the strength each day to go to work to make sure his family was financially secure, in which this was his main focus. So much so, that Marty worked up until one month before he passed away on November 22, 2015.
Marty was a humble man of few words and a soft smile. He touched many lives and would always lend a helping hand and expected nothing in return. Those who were touched by Marty have asked how they can help Christina and his girls and/or where they can send their donations. For this reason, we have created a Fund for the Porrini family.
We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any donation in which you would like to offer. Most of all, we ask one request from all of you, please remember Marty with love and laughter and the simple way that he touched your life.
