For those of you that don't know Ashley was involved in a serious car accident on Cornelius Pass Road on September 1st. This is the latest uodate from Tyler:
Ashley has come a long ways since her accident. We do not know how or what happened in regards to her accident. Her list of injuries is long, but she is a fighter.
She has had two surgeries, one to reattach part of her ear (they did a great job) and to stop the bleeding that the ripped ear caused. In that same surgery they fixed her compound fractured humerus with screws and a plate. It also required a little "bone Putty" to replace some missing pieces. Her second surgery was to repair her fractured pelvis, two screws did the trick. The surgeon added the pictures to a pelvic surgery presentation he was presenting that night because the screws were considered textbook. She was in the ICU for 8 or 9 days.
We are very fortunate, everyday Ashley had made forward progress. She is alert and communicating with us. It started with hand squeezing then head nods then sign language/white board now she is starting to find her words…which is very exciting for everyone. She has started working with a physical therapist--so far she has stood up beside the bed and is working to correct her posture and gain strength. We have a long road of recovery ahead of us but she is advancing faster then all the doctors expected.

Tyler has just gone back to work, some on site and some remote as he has said it is very hard to be away from the hospital. Ashley won't be returning to work for quite some time.
