A SERVICE DOG FOR BABY GIRL BUTTERFLY

The precious, ahhhmazing little girl above, in the pictures, is truly an ANGEL!

It is with my absolute pleasure and honor, I share with you, her story... The story of Nina Priscilla - Baby Girl Butterfly - in hopes, you can stand with me and my family to help Baby Girl Butterfly and hers.

Nina has atypical features of Autism.  Under the Autism umbrella, there is Angelman Syndrome - A rare neuro-genetic disorder.  Under Angelman's, there are two very rare syndromes, one of which is Pitt Hopkins, which affects 507 children in the world.   Nina appears to have an undiagnosed disorder that lies within the spectrum of Angelman's, Rett & Pitt Hopkins.  Doctors feel confident Nina has a syndrome not yet discovered and even more rare than Pitt Hopkins - Unfortunately for Nina, ALL this comes with life-threatening seizures, where she stops breathing.  It is taxing on her little body and today, more than ever, Nina needs our/your help.

While Nina suffers from chronic seizures, one night in October, everything changed.  Nina was lying in her mother's arms when she saw her eyes flickering, jaw locked,  lips turning blue and drool coming out of her mouth.  Her mother screamed, "Breathe!".

During her latest hospitalization, doctor's explained Nina's seizures were coming in different forms and they weren't going anywhere.  Doctors said "Nina needs some relief and help, as all her meds could only do so much and that relief and help were going to come in the form of a four-legged family member, she needs a Seizure Alert Dog".
The Seizure-Alert dog will be able to keep Nina breathing, help break the cycle when cluster seizures start AND alert family when Nina starts a seizure. The problem is, these dogs are extremely expensive.

Here is how the funds will be spent.

• Help pay for the dog and training which costs approximately $26,000.
• Help maintain the service dog (costs approximately $1,500-2,000 a year)
• A fenced-in yard to keep the service dog and Nina safe ($10,000-12,000)

Please consider donating to provide relief for Nina and her family. Any assistance will go a long way so that we can help keep Nina breathing!

My name is Juliana Cervizzi. I am from North Reading, Massachusetts. I am a friend of Nina and her mother Sandra. Sandra , Nina's mother and beneficiary, is the only person who is authorized to withdraw funds from this campaign.
