After many months of worry, pain, suffering and 60 lbs of weight loss, Orlando was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer.
They are at the information gathering stage and will be doing a series of genetic testing & labs in the next couple of weeks. As of now, the cancer is locally advanced and unresectable which means it is aggressive and can not be removed at this time.
The prognosis offers hope with an extended period of treatment including chemo, surgery(s) and possibly radiation which will include a lot of out of pocket expenses/ treatments & travel.
We are overwhelmed with the outpour of love and support for Orlando and our family.
Several of you have asked if there is anything to do... any support you can give... We’ve started a GoFundMe in Orlando’s name to provide ongoing support for him and the family during his battle with cancer.
Any amount will help and will be greatly appreciated. At Orlando’s request, all remaining funds after we achieve recovery will be donated to someone within our network who may also be suffering from cancer.
