Mark Thompson's Medical Fund

"Who Dat!"  was a shout I heard many times as a punk kid learning how to slide sideways on a snowboard up at Deer Mountain back in the early 90s.  If you heard "Who Dat!" you knew Mark Thompson was somewhere shredding it up on his board on that mountain having a blast and riding fast as hell.  Mark took the time to show me and my group of hoodlum friends around the mountain and motivated us to try things we probably never would have done. He instilled a love of snowboarding, and more importantly,  an infectious attitude towards life that I carry with me to this day.

Unfortunately Mark is fighting for his life, again.  He has battled Crohn's Disease for much of his adult life and always managed to maintain an amazing attitude.  In 2008 Mark developed primary sclerosing cholangitis(PSC), a rare condition that attacks the liver,  which put him into liver failure and close to death. Mark weighed less than 100 pounds when he underwent a successful liver transplant at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.

Mark thought the battle was over, but this past year his new liver started failing putting him in need of another transplant. He will have multiple trips to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN for treatment in the coming months and eventually a new liver. If you know someone who has gone through an organ transplant you know it is not an easy life, but Mark has always been upbeat and positive about his situation.

We could use your help to raise some cash to help Mark with his travels, medical expenses and to relieve some stress.  The last thing Mark should be worried about at this stage in his life is money. So any amount that you can give to help this great guy is greatly appreciated.
