Summer Program Fund
Greetings!
Summer 2012 will be
a very exciting and enriching time for me! I have been invited to
perform and study with the Brevard Summer Music Institute. Brevard Music Center
provides an experience for young musicians with gifts and focused-interests. Four
hundred students, from nearly every state in the U.S. and from several other
countries, enroll each year. All students and an artist faculty of 60 live and
work on the Music Center campus, 180 wooded acres in the beautiful mountains of
western North Carolina.
Each year, within the College Division (Opera Program), Brevard enrolls
35 singers for the Janiec Opera Company. Beginning June 2012, I have the awesome
opportunity to spend nine (9) weeks in this beautiful city in North Carolina
preparing for the roles of Fiorello in Rossini's Il barbiere di Siviglia (Barber of Seville) and the Customs
Sergeant in Giacomo Puccini's La Bohème. I will also perform in the ensembles of HMS Pinafore (Gilbert and Sullivan), as
well as Poulenc's Dialogue of the
Carmelites. As part of this summer experience, I will participate in daily
opera classes, staging rehearsals, and enriching master classes. This prestige's involvement is nothing short
of God's favor on my life.
Experiences like these come at a cost! The total cost for the summer
program will be $5,000, and I cannot make this goal entirely by myself. I come to you, my family and friends, with a
humble heart to ask for any contribution and/or donation you can make to assist
me in my musical career. Any amount, $100,
$25, $10, or $1, will be greatly appreciated.
It is quite easy to
donate on this website! Click the donate
button, enter your donation, and payment details. But if you are willing, but have reservations
regarding the method of your contribution, feel free to contact me directly at [email redacted] for other
options.
Thanking you in advance for your help!
