<div>We have been absolutely devastated here at Donegal Donkey Sanctuary by the news that our vehicle and horsebox were wrecked beyond all repair on Tuesday night as a result of a freak accident.
</div>
<div>Without this vehicle the sanctuary is unable to function and all intake and rehoming has been suspended for the foreseeable future.
</div>

<div>Late on Tuesday night Danny was returning to the sanctuary after making welfare calls when a freak accident occurred.  He emerged unscathed and no other vehicles were involved.  Thankfully no donkeys were in transit at the time.
</div>
<div>Danny swerved to avoid a deer which appeared at a sharp bend on the road and the vehicle mounted the ditch before plummeting 15 feet into the field below.
