Walk for Denis - Alzheimer’s Society
An immortal figure not only for Huddersfield Town, but across football as a whole, we sadly lost Denis Law in January 2025 after a prolonged battle with Alzheimer’s, which he fought admirably for a number of years. A condition that disproportionately impacts older adults, Denis wasn’t alone in his fight, with approximately 850,000 people in the UK having dementia.
On Saturday 20th September 2025 I am participating in a 25 mile sponsored walk from Manchester City’s current home at the Etihad Stadium back to HD1, all in time for kick-off at the Accu Stadium against Burton Albion at 3pm.
I would be very grateful if you could kindly donate any funds that you are able to towards a fantastic cause.
The majority of funds raised will be donated to the amazing Alzheimer’s Society, who for over 40 years have worked to improve the lives of those living with dementia. Part proceeds will also be shared with the Huddersfield Town Foundation in support of their Sporting Memories programme, which brings together adults aged over 50 who are interested in sport and the local area to reminisce and meet like-minded individuals.
Thank you for all of your support towards this fantastic cause.
