Program for Inner-City Youth- RVA

Peace and blessings to you all. My name is B LOVEE. I am a 22 year old artist, published author, community advocate, born hussler, business owner, and youth leader born and raised in South Side Richmond, VA. 

Every single day of the week, I have mentees all over the city reaching out requesting cashapps, or wanting to come work with me to "make some money." My heart is too big to ever say no, however I couldn't help but notice the hole it was leaving  in my pocket.

During the summer of 2020, I started a program called "Hussle & Motivate." It began with picking up 5 of my students from Jackson Ward's Gilpin Court and taking them downtown to sell seamoss smoothies. Eventually my students began selling CDs, books, shooting poetry videos, and more. Every time, at least taking home $30-$80 each day of working. 

Now that we've made it to 2021, I'm looking to truly expand in order to be able to consistently support our youth that are calling out for help. Many of my students come from homes that's lacking in support, financially and emotionally.  With "Hussle & Motivate," we're hoping to produce a mindset in our young adults that will show them ways to empower themselves.
