He then approached a company who provides employment and training and was assessed for further studies obtaining 18 CT (competencies) and four RPL (recognised prior learning) forming part of his AUR306 - Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology. These CT and RPL’s have cut his costs to complete his training from $14,000 to $4,000. However, as he is not working this is a further obstacle to him obtaining his full trade certificate. Added to this he does not receive any support from the government i.e. Centrelink. He has a reasonable amount of basic mechanic tools but would benefit greatly with financial support towards purchasing some specialised tools. Husan has a partner and a three month old daughter.
Husan is eager to be able to support his little family and to obtain his qualifications firstly and secondly to have a ‘leg up’ as we say in Australia so he can open his own workshop, any help would greatly be appreciated.
HOW WILL THE FUNDS BE USED
I will personally withdraw the funds and place them in a personal bank account, which I have specifically set up to hold funds raised to support refugees. Then I will send these funds to the training organisation to pay for his studies and if the amount is higher, he will be taken to purchase some tools.
Husan needs the money as soon as possible as the training organisation will close for Christmas holidays.
Thank you again. Lynn
