Relief Trip to Beaumont Texas

Hey Everyone! When a natural disaster strikes it has always amazed me how many people come together in selfless acts of kindness to help! But here is the problem... often that suport and kindness only happens right after the event, possibly when it is the headline story. But then then news stories move on and so do the majority of people but unfortunately for those affected get left behind.
About a month ago a group of us from a LifeGroup at Gateway church decided we were going to get to Houston to help out with some relief work after Hurricane Harvey. After doing some research it became clear that many other places near the coast actually had a lot more need and were getting ignored by FEMA.
We ended up finding an organziation named Operation Blessing that said Port Arthur was in dire need so we went down for the day leaving at 4AM and getting back to Austin at 12AM. It was an incredible day and we were able to strip an entire house for an eldery man that didn't have the means to get this done. But the sad part was, we were the only ones to show up to help volunteer that day and they said it had pretty much just been the same volunteers daily. Almost 80% of the houses in that area were underwater and a large number of those houses are still uninhabitable.
We talked to the staff at Operation Blessing and they said they have resources, tools, and people that need help, but they really need more volunteers.
We organizing a trip that I hope will include about 60 to 100 people from the Austin area to go down to Beaumont, TX. From Beaumont we will be spread out to different houses around that area which includes Port Arthur. We will be leaving Austin at 4AM, arriving in Beaumount at 8AM and then working our tails off until 5PM.
That is where you come in! Please help us reach our goal so we can get buses and other resources to help us be of service to as many houses and families as possible.
I know many of you won't be able to join in the actual hard labor or may liver in other cities/states so here is your chance to help.
