I'm starting this campaign to help my close friend Jackie and her family who live in a Houston suburb and have been evacuated from their home because of the Hurricane Harvey Flooding. Over 34 inches of rain fell in 72 hours. They live on the Buffalo Bayou and have a major Houston reservoir a 1/4 mile from their house. This was a recipe for disaster. The main campaign picture is their exact street as of 8/31/17.Jackie and her family held out as long as they could but their cars are under water and house is filling up. Mandatory evacuation order came and the National Guard took them out on a boat. With the rescue efforts, they're only allowed to take two personal items each and its estimated they will not be able to return to their home or to work for two weeks. Their home, cars and all personal belongings have been left behind. With the house with more than a foot of water inside and 6 feet outside, it is sure to be a long road of recovery for this family.
Please consider donating to help Jackie, Rolando and their son Andrew with hotel stay expenses, clothing needs, meals, incidentals, etc. I have this campaign at $5k and hope it exceeds that as they will need it.
