University of Miami Hurricane Aces

Hurricane Aces, the ROTC detachment at the University of Miami, houses cadets from universities and colleges from all over Miami. Hurricane Aces is responsible for developing, preparing, and helping commission officers into the United States Air Force.
Every year our detachment tries to have several different events to boost morale and camaraderie amongst the cadets. Some of the activities this year include, Dining In and Lime Cup. Most of the funds we raise for the activities come from the cadets volunteering to work at events like the Latin Billboard Awards, Concerts, Sports Games, and the Homestead Speedway.
Lime Cup is a huge morale-building competition that brings together all the detachments in Florida. Lime Cup gives us the opportunity to meet and converse with several other cadets from all over the world. It's a good day of competition and getting to reach more people that we may come in contact with later in our lives.
Dining In is a military tradition that is complete with customs and courtesies. It usually includes a distinguished guest speaker. Dining In is a time to celebrate all of the accomplishments that the cadets have achieved throughout the year.
Every event we have requires cost and sometimes requires cadets to come out of pocket to pay. Several of our cadets come from different financial situations. So, our goal this year is to reduce the cost that our cadets have to pay.
As we prepare for our upcoming events, we ask for you to support the Hurricane Aces to help ease the financial burden. The cadets still have several fundraising events on the calendar but, any help we can receive will be much appreciated.
Any donation towards helping us fund our events will help to facilitate any cost we may have with Lime Cup and Dining In.
