Hurricane Repairs Fund - Gamache Family

On September 16, 2020, Hurricane Sally hit Pensacola. My parents live on the bay so, unfortunately, they received a lot of flooding and damage to their home. This home was a dream of theirs as they worked hard to make it great for hosting family and friends, as well as a place for their children and grandchildren to visit on holidays and vacations. The hurricane caused them to lose siding/walls on their lowest level (so its open to the outside), have a water line break, water damage inside of walls, lose domestic water, the AC unit has been ripped out and is gone, foundation issues (that will be checked on to see how severe), and no electricity. I have also added some pictures to this post to show the damage that has occurred. Any area where there is opening to the outside is an exterior wall that is gone. Current damage estimate is anywhere between 50K-100K (as of 9.18.19).
Insurance will not cover the costs of the repairs as they have stated that individuals know what they are getting into with water-front houses and it is too much of a risk for insurance as it just isn't profitable to the company. Due to the damage that has occurred, the house is not in a safe condition for them to live there. Without insurance's help, it could be anywhere from six months to a year before they are able to (safely) live there again.
My brothers and I wanted to host this GoFundMe to try and raise funds for the house repairs to help out financially and hopefully speed up the repair process so that they can safely live in their house again! (This is a surprise for them, so if you know our parents, please don't tell them!)
