Hurricane Relief for Grandma

          I come to you with humble greetings,

             Hello, my name is Brandon Carr. I am from New York, with strong roots in Puerto Rico.   As we know hurricane Irma, and now Maria, has swept through the tropics and Florida and is damaging everything in its path leaving communction to love ones non-existant, family and friends homeless and minds racing on what to do next. My grandmother Josephine(Abuela), mother Ruth, and youngest brother Santana live in Luquillo, Puerto Rico and have been directly impacted by the results of these back to back storms. My mother is a fulltime care giver for my grandmother who lives with Alzheimer disease. Abuela needs 24 hour care due to her health. Because of the hurricans they are currently without power and the news is projecting that power will not return for months. The heat without the help of electricity to cool the home with air conditioning and fans, has become unbearable and is taking a toll on Abuela. It is troubling me to hear this news. They are using a generator for emergencies when the electricity is absolutely necessary, but as of today fuel is scarce and being rationed to prepare for the long haul. There is also no water for drinking or bathing and must be obtained from a local water stream. Due to the storms, she has damages to the roof of the house which is cuasing leakage into the main living area. I am asking for a donation ,small or large, to help provide funds for gas to sustain the generator, as needed, until power can be restored to the home and funds for water and food once it is available. I have set  aunt ester as the benefitiary. If God lays it upon your heart to give, any amount that can be given is greatly appreciated.
