Hurricane Recovery for Beaumont, TX

My name is Rehnea Raines and I grew up in Beaumont, Texas.  Though I live in Huntersville, NC now, my parents, Ray and Zerlina Shafer, and many dear friends have been greatly affected by Hurricane Harvey.   My parents' home near the Pine Island Bayou, along with all their neighbors' has been totally flooded.  While they are someplace safe, the recovery process will be long and extremely difficult.  My husband, Billy Raines, and I are preparing to drive to Beaumont with a load of recovery supplies.  Many of our local friends are jumping in to contribute, but we know that there are many still looking for a way to help.  All funds raised here will be used to purchase additional cleaning supplies, generators, fans, first aid kits, etc.  that will be distributed in my parents' neighborhood called Bevil Oaks of mostly elderly people.  We will also assess the needs once we are in Texas and use any remaining funds to meet those needs.  The suffering over the next many, many months will be great and this is just one small way that we feel we can make a difference with a very specific group of survivors.  Thank you for any donation to help alleviate the distress during this time of terrible disaster.
