Hurricane Michael relief for LEO's

11/12/2018 - UPDATE:

The purpose of this post is to provide an update as to what we are doing with this account.  GOFUNDME requires you to set up a withdrawal account within 30 days (tomorrow), or no further donations can be accepted.  At this time, they only allow one withdrawal account.  This account was set up to assist multiple officers that had major losses.  Today, I set up the withdrawal plan to have the funds go to my account.   At that end of this campaign, the money will be divided and dispersed by me.

I wanted to post this, so that you all know that your donations will be going to those it was intended for.  When I set this up initially, I didn't realize that I could not set it up to be dispersed to more than one beneficiary.   I believe we now have  approximately 27 officers that will be receiving funds from this campaign.   Once the campaign has ended and the money dispersed to the officers, I will update this page with number of officers that were provided funds from this campaign.

If you know of anyone that would like to donate, please urge them to do so soon.  If there is someone that wants to donate, but needs a little more time due to fundraising, etc., please message me and let me know.   Ronnie and I will be discussing an end date in the next few days.   Our plan has been to divide the funds equally from those on the list severely affected by the storm.  In order to do this, I will have to wait until we end the campaign to distribute the funds.

Thanks again to all of you that have donated, shared and continued to pray for those affected by Hurricane Michael.
Sharon & Michael Williamson

I am a resident of Walton County Florida.  I have a lifelong friend, Ronnie Wolf,  in the Panama City Area that works for one of the local law enforcement departments.  This department had approximately 30 officers affected by Hurricane Michael.  These officers had either major damage to their homes or their homes were completely destroyed.  Many of their spouses have also lost their jobs, as their employers businesses were damaged and will take months to years to rebuild, if at all.

Many of our Louisiana friends and families have asked how they can help our friend Ronnie.  I am putting this page together as means for people who want to help him and the other officers in his department that were severely impacted by this storm.

Our goal is to raise as much money for these guys to help them rebuild.  As we all know, insurance will pay and FEMA may assist after, but it usually does not cover all the cost.

What we raise here, will be equally distributed between the guys in this department that have been severely affected by the storm.   It is my understanding that they have a list of those officers so affected.

These guys are working 12 hours a day, 7 days a week right now.  They need all the prayers, help and support we can give them.

We were able to secure a generator, tarp, gas and a couple of AC units for Ronnie so that he can at least be there at night to try to prevent looters and minimize mold damage.  Most recent reports indicate it may be 3-4 months before power is restored to many of these areas.

Please know that the pictures you are seeing in the media are not exaggerated with this storm.  Those images are real and the damage and destruction is that severe.
