Hurricane Maria Relief

I do not usually reach out to others if I am capable, but for my family, I am willing to be courageous.  My name is Lian Francis and I reside in Pearland, Tx.  On Monday, September 18, 2017, Hurricane Maria swept over the small Caribbean island of Dominica where it completely destroyed everything on the island leaving a trail of damaged buildings, fallen foliage, and homeless residents.  All communication was lost.  Three days after the hurricane, I made contact with my mother who stated that they are all alive but “we will need help.  Our home is badly damaged, the downstairs [ground floor] flooded and the roof has holes with [pieces] missing over the bedrooms and bathroom.  If it rains, there will be leaks everywhere.  The supermarkets are empty and people are looting because there are no supplies, no medication.  The hospital is in bad shape.  There is no electricity or water."

My hope is that you will be able to assist me in evacuating my family (my mom, my sister, her husband and my 7 year old Nephew) from Dominica and help them to rebuild the life they lost in the hurricane.  The funds will be used to provide safe travel from Dominica, shelter, food, clothes and supplies to help them rebuild our home.

Any assistance given would be greatly appreciated and I would be eternally grateful.
