To my Family, Friends and co-workers in Los Angeles, after evaluating the situation in my homeland of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, I've decided I will be shipping non-perishable food and other survival items to my family whose homes are extremely damaged and needless to say, the island will be without electricity for a minimum of a year.
The lines people must stand in just to be able to enter the grocery store for food are insane and most the stores wont have enough food. The same goes for gas. Many of my family members are cramped up in homes that survived the wrath of hurricane Maria. We reached out to the Red Cross and as much as we appreciate the Red Cross, they too have limited resources. As a result, they are unable to help everyone. Your financial contribution will allow myself and my friends to prepare as many boxes of food to be shipped from Los Angeles. Lets make this our Los Angeles Contribution.
