Mom's home repair after Irma fund

Donation protected
I am currently stationed overseas serving in the USAF and feeling absolutely useless while my family rips apart my mother’s house trying to save it from flood damage caused by Hurricane Irma. My mother’s home located in Middleburg Florida was flooded out by Black Creek’s record breaking high waters.  Her home is just one of an estimated 1,200 homes that were effected. Like most, she did not have flood insurance because her area has never been identified as a flood threat area. She is a widow of a decorated Vietnam War veteran and doesn’t have a substantial source of income to cover home repair costs of this magnitude. She constantly gives back to the local community by leading fundraisers and benefits by devoting her free time at the American Legion. She has logged in over 11 years of selfless community service raising over $30K for underprivileged kids sponsoring multiple Christmas and Thanksgiving drives, cancer benefits, and she runs the food pantry for the local American Legion. Lastly, her 67th birthday is next month, and she has heart issues. So with her age and heart condition, I’m trying to get her home put back together so she can live comfortably and stress free. I created this campaign to help fund the replacement costs of new flooring, drywall, major appliances, unsalvageable furniture, and any other hidden damages yet to be discovered. If I can find at least 500 people willing to pitch $10, we can meet our $5,000 goal. I will be forever grateful for your contributions.  To be clear, my name is Brad Maney and this campaign was created to raise funds for my mother Doris Jean Miller. I'm currently stationed in Germany and this is the only way I can help my mother at this time. I have set my brother Brent Maney as the beneficiary to recieve the funds and both him and our older brother Bryan Maney will be project managers to ensure her home repairs are executed wisely. We're trying to minimize any stress on our mother. At this point we are waiting for her floors to completely dry, and our main focus is to retile the floors and rebuild the walls. Then if we have enough money, we will prioritize purchases such as major appliances and furniture
as needed.
