Hurricane Irma Fund Amber & Jackson

Amber moved to the Florida Keys from Arkansas back in February. The home she rented on 68th Street (Oceanside) here in Marathon was flooded with about 4’ of water. Amber parked her car in an elevated parking lot where a lot of people parked, however during the storm signage fell on her car completely destroying it. Besides the expenses of evacuating and the loss of property, Amber lost about two weeks of income because of the storm. Every dollar collected will go to help Amber get back on her feet.
Jackson moved to the Florida Keys from Haiti when he was 19. Jackson and his wife are expecting their first child in February. Jackson lived in Big Pine and lost his home as well as his car. He had only owned the home for 8 months. He started his new job in August. Besides the expenses of evacuating and the loss of property, Jackson lost about two weeks of income because of the storm. Every dollar collected will go to help Jackson get back on his feet.
