Hurricane Iota - Friends of Providence Island

Donation protected
If you are reading this message you most likely know about the terrible condition in which Providence Island is today. Hurricane Iota has devastated the entire Island. With a population of over 6,000 people, and almost a total loss of homes, there are major challenges. This cause is a personal matter as Providence is the place I call home, and where I spent much of my childhood and youth. With a group of friends we will be flying next week to deliver over 1500 kilos of supplies, food, and many other items required by friends with whom we have been able to have some initial contact. We will focus the first flight to help specifically those in the area of Smooth Water Bay which is one of the most remote areas in the island. The funds we are aiming to collect will be fully spent on all of the stuff we will bring inside the plane on the first flight. Whatever funds remain after will be put aside for a second flight. I will personally fly in to the island and remain at least for two weeks helping friends in the reconstruction of the very basic structures that remain in order to have a livable place. Rest assured all funds will be used in the best and most effective possible way and we will post a report of all expenses incurred.
We are aiming to fly to San Andres on Monday or Tuesday of the coming week.
Thanks to everyone who can chip in.
