Hurricane Ian Relief wrecked villa

Hello, my name is Kate in Florida Ft. Myers.  Hurricane Ian's surge filled my condo with 6ft of water.

I invested everything I have in this home. All of my property & belongings, everything I owned from my furniture, appliances, computer, jewelry, pictures have all been destroyed. We had to rip out drywall floor to ceiling, floors, due to the mold.  Everything has been removed.

We John (a.k.a.HAWK) and I are so devastated, just simply beside ourselves right now, it simply breaks our hearts. Words cannot describe all the emotions we are going through right now. At our age, you would never have thought you would have to rebuild your home.

I did not have any flood or surge insurance.  My financial burden in this disaster so far has cost me $6000 out of pocket, for the removal of drywall, insulation flooring, toilets, sinks, and mold remediation.

Wanted to give a huge Thank you to all the volunteers from the Riverside Church that helped me remove all the wet furniture and rugs and threw it all away.

I am asking from the bottom of my heart for our prayers to be answered and for any help, you may all provide us during this difficult time. Any amount will be more than appreciated and absolutely every dime donated will go directly to help me replace everything I lost & to rebuild my home..
