Hurricane /Hospital-Williams Family

Friends, The Williams family has endured great suffering during the course of Hurricane Florence. Praise be to God, Leigh evacuated with the four children bound for family in Sampson county. After a short time with family, she learned that her home was destroyed by fallen trees, but her husband's life was safe. Hours later, Jacob spiked a fever and ended up in a Sampson Co hospital for entire week encompassing the storm...as the winds pounded and rains poured into her home back in Wilmington with all the items inside lost, she spent days and nights in the hospital praying for Jacob's health after he was diagnosed with Salmonella. Meanwhile, her other three children hid in bathrooms with her mother during tornado watches at their grandmother's home. The entire story seems surreal that someone could suffer so much during such a short period of time, but Leigh held strong in the Lord and never doubted His faithfulness. So when the hospital asked her for a nearly $3500 co-pay upon checkout at the hospital, Leigh held firm in her faith and paid what she could that day and has deferred the rest until after she can cope with the loss of her home. Leigh and Jacob could not even leave the hospital upon release as all roads were closed! An entire week after leaving her home, she finally was reunited with her mother at her mother's home with all of her children finally together. FEMA will come in soon to help with home expenses, but there will be great costs associated with temporary housing, food eaten out, the unexpected medical co-pay and so much more. What greater way than to be hands and feet than to come together to wrap arms around this family at this time in prayer and with financial help. MANY people love this family, and if we all contribute a small amount, we will help them in a tremendous way. Leigh has NOT asked for this fundraiser; it is something that her friends felt passionate about starting for her family. What I learned from Leigh during this time is to stay focused and remain thankful for the many blessings in the midst of a literal storm. Her grace amazed all of us, and may we now amaze her with a gentle blessing that will lessen the financial impact on this beautiful family of Christ. If you are unable to give at this time, please consider praying for them! God bless! (My name is Gina, and I am a friend of the Williams family who decided to set this up to help them. Leigh is added to the campaign as the beneficiary and may make withdrawals along the way as the campaign is active). Go Fund Me keeps a small 2.9% fee.  Thank you.
