Harvey Recovery/100% to victims

Donation protected

A friends neighborhood.

Please join me in helping to reach out and directly contribute to my circle of friends and their families impacted by Hurricane Harvey's wrath. There are over 20+ families in that circle and not all are yet accounted for. By now everyone has heard about Hurricane Harvey. So now is the phase of SHOCK and RECOVERY. Shock of what is left behind in the aftermath, shock of the bureaucratic systems to work through, and the overwhelming recovery of where to begin and how to put their lives back together. As you can imagine and have seen, it's one heartbreaking story after another.

For me it's personal...it's people I know and associate with. I know there are organization and entities raising money for Houstonians but these families need help now. They can hardly manage minute-to-minute with what they have in front of them. And as the media and support systems diminish, those impacted have a long, long journey ahead of them. It's confusingconfusing who will help, when, how, how much and the criteria to get approved for help.

They are juggling their surmounting personal disaster with caring for their families, getting their children back to school and returning to work themselves.  And for some, they have no family in Houston to lean on. Most everyone impacted in Houston are displaced with  their family and pets to live with relatives, friends, hotels or are still in shelters.

There are many who did not live in flood zones so they have no flood insurance. FEMA has expressed their guidelines of what is and isn't covered.  Which leaves those  impacted at a greater loss. FEMA has communicated they are an extention to personal insurance and not full replacement. So for those who have major damage to their homes and content, loss of vehicles and no flood insurance or full coverage auto insurance, this is devastating and overwhelming to go through.

While there are some with great spirits, there are others breaking down feeling hopeless. For the rest of us it's overwhelming that we want to help them all but know we can't. The list is simply too long.

My goal is to raise funds for my circle of 20+ families and individuals that have been greatly impacted by this overwhelming disaster. 100% of the money received will go directly to those impacted by the flooding in Houston and surrounding areas. Your donation won't cover all their needs, but it will help them offset some of their cost for the labor and supplies of the demo and replacement of walls, flooring, appliances, furniture, household items, clothes, cars (those with only liability insurance) and so much more. One friend responded today that though their house flooded, FEMA turned them down  because they determined  their house was livable . To me, livable  has nothing to do with it.  It's damaged  and it's a loss  and they had no flood insurance  since they didn't live in a flood zone

If you want to know your money is contributing 100% to those impacted to replace their loss, please join me in helping these families---person to person, heart to heart. My circle of impacted friends, their families and myself will be enternally grateful for your compassion and amazing generosity!

My neighborhood. Our house did not flood...I am blessed!

Some in my circle live near Greens Bayou (more than 800 travelers were stranded on the overpass for 2 or more days). I-10 goes east to west coast.

My circle of friends is widespread across Houston and the surrounding areas including Kingwood, Baytown, Conroe, Crosby, Mont Belvieu, Dayton, Highlands, Meyerland, Friendswood, Sugarland, Katy, The Woodlands, Clear Lake, Dickenson, Channelview, Greens Bayou, Cedar Bayou, and Galveston.

Note: this is a individual cause and not associated with any company or other fundraising event or organizations. Funds will be paid to recipients through a bank account set up to solely administrate funds for and to the Harvey victims in my circle of friends that were impacted and did not have insurance or personal coverage.

Again, on behalf of those directly impacted, thank you, thank you, thank you!
