While I was in Georgia on buisiness in August, 2017, the Texas Gulf Cost was hit by one of the nations most devistating disasters. Seeing the disaster unfold on television, I immediately booked a flight back home, and put my event management skills and resources to work by mobilizing civilian rescue efforts, and supporting first responders as needed.
Moving forward, rebuilding efforts will follow in Rockport, Victoria, and ORange Texas. Teams are already established, and work to clear debris, reestablish infrastructure, and clear roadways is slated to begin September 1.
Raised funds will be spent on the following:
-Fuel for rescue trucks and boats
-Food for rescuers and evacuees
-Water
-Clean towels
-Chainsaws for debris removal
-Heavy equipment for debris removal
-Generators for temporary power
-Tents for basecamp operations
