Hurricane Harvey : Nan Nan
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
My name is Braden Turner and I currently live in Georgia. I'm originally from Anahuac TX (just east of Houston TX) where as all of you have seen is suffering major flood damage due to Hurricane Harvey. My Nan Nan who lives in Anahuac is 84 years old and has lived in her house for 55+ years. I don't have a summer or Christmas memory that doesn't involve this old house and our family gathering to eat/fellowship/laugh. It is still the destination for all major family gatherings today. Rain is still forcasted over the next week and there is currently standing water throughout her house. They placed sandbags around certain areas but to no avail. We won't know the full extent of the damage until the water receeds, but it will be severe. Even though she is 84 she still works 2 days a week for a bank to help make ends meet. This will prove difficult while trying to work on her house. Being so far away we are trying raise money for what Nan Nan will need to survive and rebuild over the next several months. Any donations big or small would be appreciated for a woman who has always given to anyone in need that she could over the years. Please keep Nan Nan and everyone in TX in your thoughts.
We have her signed up for FEMA and will sign up for any other assistance we can.
The money will be used to clean up her house / store belongings / replace appliances / replace furniture / down payment on home?
Thank you so much!
