Hurricane Harvey Heath Rice

I have created this Go Fund Me page for our dear friend Heath, his son Isaiah, and his dog Jeff who have been severely impacted by Hurricane Harvey. They went to bed, and woke up to water rising towards their house. Heath immediately thought about his 90 year old neighbors, and he moved them into his house to keep them safe. Over time, the rain began to rise closer to their house, and eventually made it in. They resorted to the second floor to keep safe while they waited. My husband Vijay knew he had to get them out of their house on Monday morning, as we kept hearing more and more families needing to be rescued with the rising water. My husband headed towards the area and searched for anyone with a truck and a boat to get to Heath’s house. He finally found someone from Killeen, TX with a john boat, and a paddle, and away they went to save Heath, Isaiah, his 90 year old neighbors, and Jeff. Heath, Isaiah, his 90 year old neighbors, and Jeff made it out safely. However, their house and car continue to be under water, and he can’t even begin to assess the damage and begin to recover. Isaiah’s junior high is also under water, and the restoration is unknown. The images from Heath’s neighborhood and house are unimaginable. Heath is a great friend, amazing father, and a great faithful leader. He never asks for help, but always gives it.
