Hello, My name is Veronica Garcia and I am a resident of Houston Texas in Harris County. I am a close friend and colleague of Nancy Herrera. Me and my family were fortunate enough to receive minimal damage compared to most parts of Houston, but my dear friend Nancy Herrera suffered the loss of her husband Jorge Perez in these devastating times. Trough this fundraiser we are hoping to accumulate enough for her husbands funeral which includes the services at the funeral home, burial in a cemetery, and the installation of a headstone. The funds raised will be handed to her directly as we are in close contact with Nancy Herrera and her family. We are in need of everyone's prayers in these devastating times. Around 3 pm yesterday Jorge Perez went on a rescue team with 5 others to help people on a beige and red boat by Wallisville and Normandy. They were involved in a boating accident. Only 2 of them have been found and are in the hospital Jose Vizueth along with a reporter they picked up. Jorge Perez on the other hand was reported to have passed away this morning. Devastated and distraught Nancy Herrera had little options on who to turn to. I am now taking the initiative to help out a dear friend raise funds for her diseased husband's funeral, who has tragically passed away trying to help others trough the disaster which unfolded in Houston this week. We appreciate any amount that will be contributed for this campaign. All funds will be used for the expenses the funeral will require.
