Hurricane Harvey and Cheryl Kizer

I can't erase the image of Cheryl and her family being rescued by boat from the second floor of a neighbor's home and being droped off on 1-10. Home lost, vehicles lost. Not knowing where to go or what to do next? Many others had the experience . She is battling back with a grit and determination that is remarkable and inspiring. They live in an RV outside their home. Major issues remain with their well water and she just now got the SBA disaster loan to start construction. They did not have flood insurance.
Despite the challenges she hardly missed work. She is truly of great value to the Southeast Texas Economic Development Foundation. She did not ask for much of anything since she is so self reliant.
Let's do something for the Kizers for the holidays. I set a modest goal because I know it is a tough time of year. Some cash to help and just say we are thinking of you!
