Hurricane Florence Relief for Val

In early September 2018, Hurricane Florence ravaged the coast of North Carolina. One of my coworkers, Val Northrup, lost her home and the entire contents in the storm. Her neighborhood was swallowed by eight feet of flood waters. As if that was not bad enough, a nearby pump failed causing the flood waters to be mixed with more than 200,000 gallons of sewage. Needless to say, she is unable to return home and is currently in temporary housing. 

Val is a hardworking and caring psychiatric nurse practitioner that has    focused her career on helping residents of long term care homes and assisted living facilities in north and south carolina. She is a caring individual who continues to  work even while trying to sort out her home life. She has lost everything.
