Rebuilding after Hurricane Florence

Donation protected
My in-laws retired and moved to Longs, SC in 1997. Over the past 20 years it has been a wonderful place for their four children and their ten grandchildren to visit. My husband and I now have 2 children ages 4 and 7 and they love going to visit their Grandma and Pop-Pop.
My in-laws’ home in Longs, SC flooded due to the enormous amount of rainfall from Hurricane Florence and once the water from the nearby Waccamaw River begins to recede the process of rebuilding will begin.

Based on aerial photos it appears their home has sustained significant damage. Once the water recedes and the property is safe to enter we will post more pictures.

With the support of the family, we have launched a GoFundMe page, in hopes to raise $30,000. My in-laws are elderly and unable to do the work themselves and will need to hire contractors. We are raising funds for the expenses to make the necessary repairs to make their home habitable. The monies will be used for cleanup and to rebuild the home to include the purchase of appliances and furniture.

If you can’t donate please consider sharing their story to reach more people.
