Hurricane Eta - Village Campo Amapa Fundraiser

Donation protected
Hello all!

My name is Joselyn Matamoros and I was born in Campo Amapo, Progreso Yoro in 1997.  I am from New York and am trying to support my family and other families in my village. In 1998, Honduras was hit by Hurricane Mitch, a Category 5 Hurricane that caused 7,000 fatalities and millions were left homeless.

This past week, Honduras was devastated by Category 4 Hurricane Eta during the global COVID-19 pandemic. My village, Campo Amapa part of the ex-campo bananeros is flooded. Hundreds of families are stranded on a strip of land waiting for the authorities to rescue them. Many have lost their homes and they are running out of food, water, clothes and basic resources. Please consider sharing, donating, etc. I will be coordinating with my grandparents, who are community leaders,  to ensure everything is properly distributed. Some items/funds will also go towards assisting post-recovery as families have been left with nothing.

If you are unable to donate, please share and keep Honduras and my village in your prayers!  I will be sharing updates as soon as I can.

THANK YOU! GRACIAS!
